ERIKS SCVBR® Seals and vibration dampers for high-tech applications

ERIKS SCVBR® products are made of high-quality SCVBR® rubber compounds and are produced according to strict, clean production requirements. SCVBR® rubber compounds have been specially developed for seals in (high) vacuum and gas environments as well as vibration-damping applications.

SCVBR® is the best choice in the semiconductor, electronics, aerospace and optical industries, where cleanliness, precision, consistency, reliability and top performance are paramount. This is not only achievable through clean production techniques, high finish quality and the use of high-quality materials but, also through the low outgassing and low particle emissions of the materials.

SCVBR® materials have been developed for gas and high vacuum seals. In addition, materials with viscous damping properties have also been developed for making vibration dampers in high-end applications.

All ERIKS SCVBR® products are developed according to the approach and philosophy of Design for Six Sigma. The SCVBR® products

  • ERIKS produces various SCVBR® products, including:
  • O-rings from 0.5 x 0.5 mm up to 6,000 x 10 mm and larger (finishing according to ISO 3601-3 CS) 
  • Hollow O-rings
  • Custom-made rubber mouldings and seals. 
  • Vibration dampers (metal-rubber compound), also vulcanised on stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, stavax and more.
  • Flat seals cut from sheets. The sheets are produced from moulds for optimal mechanical properties and accurate thickness tolerances.
  • Extruded cables and profiles.

SCVBR®-Compounds

SCVBR® compounds for seals and vibration dampers

SCVBR® compounds are specially developed rubber compounds for specific applications. These include, low/high-frequency vibration damping or electrical and thermally conductive seals. Are you looking for a specific material? ERIKS can also develop new compound formulations for your specific application in its in-house rubber laboratory. The SCVBR® compounds are designed for the lowest possible outgassing value and are checked by Rest Gas Analysis (RGA). 

Our engineers also have a lot of material data available, such as FEA and DMTA, to generate reliable models. This data is also available on request.
