A healthy and safe working environment is at the core of our business and top priority of our employees, customers and partners. If people don't feel well or safe at our workplace, they cannot give their best, which affects the performance of the entire company. Sustainability, after all, must start with the health, safety and wellbeing of our people.
Setting the goal to have zero life changing injuries by 2030
We have a solid and extensive health and safety management structure which has dedicated Health and Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) professionals in each country. Larger locations also have a safety representative available.
What have we achieved?
We are proud of the steps we have taken towards a safe environment, resulting in 0 severe injuries or fatalities in 2021. Our Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) target was <0.6 for this year, but we surpassed our expectations with a result of 0.3. The number of safety visits by management and the percentage of Safety Report Cards per employee were also above target (447 vs. 413 target).
But all these impressive results don't mean we can lean back and relax. We're determined to continuously improve and reach our main goal to achieve zero life changing injuries by 2030.
