Spectacle blinds are metallic spades which are mounted in piping systems, and have 2 functions. One side has an opening, which (in normal position) the medium can pass through. This can be exchanged for the other side, which is a closed disc. This allows parts of a piping system to be closed during stop- or turnaround periodes (for safety reasons). Standard delivered in steel P265-GH, which is also used in the manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels that must be able to withstand a high thermal load. The outside dimension of the plug (indicated with 'A') falls within the bolt circle. The plug is mounted including seals.
