Spectacle blinds are metallic spades which are mounted in piping systems, and have 2 functions. One side has an opening, which (in normal position) the medium can pass through. This can be exchanged for the other side, which is a closed disc. This allows parts of a piping system to be closed during stop- or turnaround periodes (for safety reasons). Standard delivered in steel P265-GH, which is also used in the manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels that must be able to withstand a high thermal load. The outside dimension of the plug (indicated with 'A') falls within the bolt circle. The plug is mounted including seals. Spectacle blinds are also called spec blinds, reversible spades or spectacle cutters. Different sizes, types or materials available on request.
