ERIKS is taking the next step in its international growth strategy with the opening of a new production facility in Johor, Malaysia. With this investment, the company strengthens its position within the global high-tech and semiconductor ecosystem and expands its operational capacity in Asia.
The new facility, scheduled to be operational by mid-2026, will feature advanced cleanroom capabilities for the assembly of critical components. This enables ERIKS to meet the growing demand from international OEMs that are increasingly distributing production activities globally and regionalizing their supply chains.
The expansion aligns with a structural shift toward Asia as a key manufacturing region. As a result, local presence is becoming essential to ensure quality, delivery reliability, and cost efficiency.
“With this investment, we support our customers locally with the same process, production, and quality standards as our products and technology produced in Europe”
Norman Witsel
Head of Semicon at ERIKS
The Malaysian facility will serve as a strategic hub within ERIKS’ international network, primarily focused on the semiconductor and high-tech industries. At the same time, the investment strengthens ERIKS’ position within the broader industrial ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
With more than 45 years of experience in Asia, ERIKS builds on a strong regional foundation. The new facility combines local expertise with international knowledge and processes, with a clear focus on quality, precision, and just-in-time delivery.
“Local presence makes supply chains faster and more resilient.”
Jan Brabander
