GF 500 B - HSC ball nose profile cutter type 3855
Design: Ultra-fine grit solid carbide, type N, according to company standard, with centre cut.
Cutting speed approx. 50% higher than with non-coated tools. Dry machining possible.
These tools should only be used in shrink or hydro-.expansion chucks.
Application: Can be used for copy milling. The neck chip channel makes optimum tool range possible and thus makes it suitable for mould-making applications. Suitable for machining hardened materials up to 54 HRC.
Note: Copy milling; cutting values preferred at ap = 0.05 x d1 and ae = 0.1 x d1.
